Cincinnati, Ohio | MYA Fall Gala

Cincinnati, Ohio | MYA Fall Gala

The Maronite Young Adults (MYA) located in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a growing group at St. Anthony of Padua Church. It is also known as the MYA A-Shabebat Society.  They host an annual Fall Gala in order to raise money for future projects. On November 10th, the MYA hosted their second annual Fall Gala, where the invitees included church parishioners, their friends and family, and other regional MYA members. The Fall Gala started with a tribute to veterans, as the following Monday was Veterans Day. A fellow member of the Cincinnati MYA, Connie Kieszek, sang the national anthem. Following this great performance was food catered by Aladdin’s Eatery, and the rest of the night consisted of dancing to Arabic and English music provided by Rakan Talamas, who is also a member of the Cincinnati MYA. It was a great night to talk, eat, dance, and have a good time with friends and family. It’s an event to look forward to each year, and is a great example of unification within the church’s community.
